Joker 'virus' back on Google Play Store, Delete these 15 Android apps:- 


Beware Android phone users! The very dangerous malware Joker ‘virus’ has once again surfaced in Google Play Store apps. This Joker virus is a malicious code that hides in Android applications and can hack information such as your contacts and text messages device info, OTPs and do many other unauthorized things.

According to Kaspersky malware analyst, Tatyana Shishkova, this malicious virus has been found in 14 Android apps. The malware analyst has revealed the names of these infected apps in a series of Tweets.

Joker virus is one of the most-persistent malware that keeps coming back to Google Play Store by changing its code and execution method or payload-retrieving techniques. The virus can steal users’ data, including SMS, contact list, and many other things.

Joker malware was first discovered in the year 2017. Google published a blog post about the virus in 2019 and confirmed its existence. Though the google has managed to tone down the menace of the Joker malware since 2019, it still rears its ugly head from time to time in Android apps.

Joker malware tends to infect popular apps on Google Play store and enter the user’s phone when the apps are downloaded. Joker malware is able to make its way to Google Play store through small changes to its code and bypasses Play store’s security and vetting checks. It is quite stubborn and tends to reappear often. It was first found in 2017 and Google has been fighting hard to secure users from this malware over the years.
